Hi there, Booksweeps participants! You’ve just gotten the welcome email everyone gets, but this is a special hello just for you. (Hi to all my regulars too!)
I wish I could meet you all personally but I know you’re here for the books.I get it. I need books like I need food. (Check out my literary Christmas tree in last week’s post!)
As a writer of my own things (fiction, non-fiction, plus plays, songs, poems, cartoons, and more), and a publisher of my own and other people’s things, I’ve got a lot of things on tap. As a matter of fact, here’s a picture of new books out in the past 18 months!
In this newsletter, which comes out weekly, I talk about the many facets of my creative outpouring. For example, last fall there were posts about my lecture on vintage cookbooks, an article about a weird disease, and a new book about teaching human rights. I also do interviews with interesting people, personal essays, cultural observations, and sometimes there’s a random chicken or Jell-o photo. If you find a weekly email too frequent, you can adjust your subscription for the occasional Museletter. (Check out my husband’s blog, Entropical Paradise, if you enjoy a good daily read!)
The Cave
There’s one more special thing about this newsletter, which is that you can pay an annual subscription to get access to full books and videos such as the ones mentioned above in a library I’m filling up month by month, called The Cave. (Because it’s a play on my name. ha ha.) (Which does not actually rhyme with cave!) In 2023 I added two videos, a poem, and a set of extra playing cards for the Barbie, Queen of the Prom game. In 2024 I’ll be adding a few ebooks, excerpts, and a chapter-by-chapter audiobook! Watch for invitations to upgrade.
And now here’s a welcome gift for you!
When you go to Uplift Press, the publishing company I run with my mom, you get a free chapter of our book, The Winning Family. Since you’ve subscribed to me here, you can have one too! Good feelings.
Your prolific productions are profound.
💛Glad to be here!
