A Leap of Faith

Happy Friday, readers. Coming to you today from Boulder, Colorado, my home town. I’m here for three days to 1) meet a new baby, 2) congratulate a niece who’s graduating from CU, and 3) take some chocolate chip cookies to my Mother-in-Law’s grave and read her a story from the latest New Yorker.
The launch started two weeks ago on Mother’s Day. Last weekend, we went to the OK Go concert and their LOVE is part of the momentum. I’m riding the edge of thrilling and scary, that feeling of having left the earth and being in the air and hoping all the moving parts come together and there will be readers out there to catch all this energy.
The feeling of empty space underneath me has been even more extreme in the past few weeks since I lost my launch partner two weeks before it started. The lurking panic I’d hoped to avoid adds an unexpected emotional roller coaster effect… but I have to remind myself that rollercoasters are fun.
