Closing Tabs on 2023
Taking a deep breath and starting afresh.
This morning before getting out of bed I opened the browser on my phone and clicked the little square, which had a number too large to reveal. I started clicking and ten minutes later I was down to single digits. Before I hit each little ‘x’ I had a quick review of my tasks and thought processes and curiosities of the past year…maybe two years, maybe five since I got this phone?
Goodbye Dr. Ramani and Dr. Maté.
All done vet bills and bifocals.
I can find you later, Human Design research,
weed abatement,
writing contests.
I'm glad I know you, historical figures,
mysterious body parts,
beautiful places,
expanding philosophies.
Clubs and organizations, huzblog, I know your urls by heart.
Showtimes,
events,
sales,
fade into history.
There are always more windows to open.
Keep passing the open windows.
