Blog Cabin

Stacking words like timbers from the forest of this life.

My original name for my Substack was Blog Cabin. I thought it would be a good way to teach people how to pronounce my name—since “Caven” rhymes with “Cabin.” (NOT “Craven,” nor is it spelled like that, thank you for paying attention.)

And I like to think of each of us as being a little home in the Forest of our family/culture. Subscribers could go from the Cabin (free for all) to the Cavern (paid subscribers), to the Cave (inner circle) (now The Library). But the intersection between perfect metaphors and the wild abandonment of creativity doesn’t always come together perfectly. (It’s a great disappointment to the Generous Muse.)
